It’s been a while but we’re going to try and get this blog back up and running for what readers we might still have out there!
2013 has been off to a busy start for those of us at weekend appreciation, but this weekend, with the beautiful 70+ degree weather in NC, we took advantage and went on a hike at Eno River State Park in Durham with a group of friends.
We did the Cox Mountain Trail which is about 4 miles long, starting from the Fews Ford Picnic Area (and the Fews Ford entrance to the park) and goes along the Eno River, across a fun suspension bridge, and then over and back on Cox Mountain (which is mostly a glorified hill! but still a good climb). It took us a total of an hour and a half, with some stops by the river in between. It was so peaceful and beautiful and we all already can’t wait to go back once the leaves are on the trees.
Following the hike, we brought packed sandwiches to Fullsteam Brewery in Durham for afternoon beers and to cheer the victorious NCSU vs. Duke! Can’t have a much day of Triangle adventuring than that.
